DDG 219 - Unique Attractions in the Disney Theme Parks

Welcome to the show notes for the Disney Dream Girls Podcast, show number 219 for Sunday 22nd July 2018. If you want to listen, whilst you read these notes, all you have to do is press the green triangle on the audio player below. Alternatively, why not listen via iTunes, Stitcher Radio or any podcast catching place!

Coming up on this weeks show, Michelle is joined by Kat and Lewis from the Dis Down Under Podcast to talk about some of the unique attractions that can be found in the Disney theme parks.
As you may know, Disney has theme parks in the USA, France, Tokyo, Hong Kong and China. In these parks you will see some repetition of the same or similar rides for example Disneyland in California and Paris both have a Snow White attraction and they are fairly similar.

However, when you look at Winne the Pooh based attractions Walt Disney World, Hong Kong Disneyland, Disneyland and Shanghai Disneyland they are all very similar but in Tokyo Disneyland you will find Pooh's Hunny Hunt and this is what we would call unique. It is based on a trackless system and it is, in our guests opinion, one of the best Disney attractions there is. Below is a ride along video courtest of SoCal Attractions 360.
In the show, we look at the features that these attractions have. A favourite of Michelle's is Crushes Coaster at Walt Disney Studios in Paris. Whilst it is not unique, as there are other dark ride Finding Nemo attractions, this is the only spinning rollercoaster that is inside but with an outdoor reveal element.
Some of the other attractions Michelle discusses are the Alice in Wonderland, Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage and The Matterhorn which are all based in Disneyland and all use different vehicle types.
Meanwhile, Kat and Lewis share information on Tron Lightcycle Power Run, Mystic Manor, Ratatouille and Aquatopia amongst others. What is interesting to note is that both the Tron and Ratatouille attractions are under construction at Walt Disney World.
We hope you have enjoyed the show and ask you... did we miss anything? What makes an attraction unique to you and what are your favourites?
