So this show has quite a bit of news in it and then we moved on to a history segment before finishing off the show talking a little bit about our favourite Disney attractions.
Felix Salten
Disney used stories from the likes of Hans Christian Anderson and P L Travers to create his versions in the media of film. But if I mention Felix Salten to you - would you be able to guess the book he wrote that so many of us hold dear to our hearts?

On 6th September in 1869 in Austria-Hungary, Felix Salten was born and the family shortly after relocated to Vienna. Around the age of 16, he began work for an insurance agency but also wrote reviews and poems. He became known within the 'Young Vienna' movement and some of his stories were published.
In 1923 Bambi was published (being translated into English in 1928). Five years later he sold the rights for $1000 to American director Sidney Franklin, who in turn eventually sold them to the Walt Disney Studios.
Theme Park Closures
16th March 2020, Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World, and Disneyland Paris closed. This got me thinking to when else the park had closed. I was surprised that Disneyland had close on three prior occasions (Day of Mourning after the assassination of JFK, Northridge Earthquake, and September 11th).

However, I hadn't realised what Walt Disney World had closed so many times and that these closures were mainly due to Hurricanes (Floyd in September 1999; Charley, Frances, and Jeanne in August/September 2004; Matthew in October 2016; Irma in 2017 and Dorian in 2019). Additionally, Walt Disney World closed due to September 11th.
