326 Disneyland Paris Bounces Back

Welcome to the show notes for the Disney Dream Girls Podcast, show number 326, for Sunday 2nd August 2020. If you want to listen, whilst reading these notes, just click the player below or alternatively find us on iTunes, Libsyn, Stitcher Radio, or any good podcast catching apps.

Welcome to this week's show notes for our podcast and we start with a couple of pieces of Disney history before moving on to our main feature - Disneyland Paris re-opening.

The First Mickey Mouse Watch

The very first Mickey Mouse was originally sold for $2.95 and was released on 3rd August 1933. Anyone have one? I fear it may be worth a little more than that now!

On 3rd August 1955, Corey Burton was born. Away from hearing him in the theme parks, he has over 400 film credits!

Crystal Palace Desserts
Over in Tokyo Disneyland, they are re-opening the Crystal Palace with a set price dessert party. For under $30 you can enjoy a wide range of delicious desserts.

This got us thinking, why not do this in the other Disney Parks? Yes, we have dessert parties but they are linked to the non-existent firework spectaculars.

So, why not just hand over a restaurant to this idea alone. Imagine all your favourite Disney treats available? What do you think? Are we on to a winning idea here and what would you suggest as a good price point?

We look at their fixed price offering - $30 for 3 courses. It is a limited time deal but I think it is a great little offer and if you are in the area - why not pop on by?

We look at how Disneyland Paris is managing following their recent re-opening.

Rides have all the social distancing measures we have seen in Walt Disney World but what has come across as a big positive is the number of characters that can be seen in the parks.
DLP has also announced that Jungle Book Jive and Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands will be back this summer!

Michelle also announced that she has booked a trip to stay at the Newport Bay Club hotel in Paris later in the year but there will be more about this oncoming shows.
