386 The Disney Christmas Party Battle

Coming up on this week's show, we look at the offerings for Walt Disney World and Disneyland in the way of Christmas hard ticket events i.e. Christmas Parties. 

Disneyland - Merriest Nites

With park entry from 5pm, this hard ticket event has now sold out however, the original price point was $165-175. 

The party actually consists of 6 mini parties and each has a theme and is located in the 6 open Disneyland lands. There is the fabulous Christmas Fantasy parade, entertainment and character meets plus lots more.

Having spoken to attendees we felt this party night sounded the better of the two options and purely for the Muppets alone we would be booking our tickets!

Walt Disney World-Disney Very Merriest After Hours

This is a four hour event, that has tickets costing from $169. As of publishing, there are still a few nights available ranging from $189 to $229 (though there are some discounts available). 

From select snacks that are available, shorter lines and special entertainment for many this party is a great way to start the festive season. 

However, having spoken to many attendees this year we both felt the price point was a bit too high and if we were in Florida we would not be purchasing our tickets.

Disneyland Top Picks

So, we all love ice-cream - yes? Well the place for this, at Christmas, is Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor (mobile order available). Here I recommend the Peppermint Holiday Sundae – Two scoops of peppermint ice cream with fudge topping, crushed peppermint, whipped cream, and a cherry on top - delicious!

Another iconic staple at the Disneyland resort are the Gingerbread men and there is nothing better than popping by the Jolly Holiday Bakery to grab a couple!

Walt Disney World

Now we can't talk food without hopping coasts to Walt Disney World and here we can indulge our love of all things sweet and Mickey shaped!

The Main Street Bakery is offering a Mickey-shaped cinnamon roll with seasonal icing drizzle.  

 

Alternatively, the desserts at the Sat'uli Canteen are always a delight but we have to mention this aumunal delight.
