Michelle told Kat and Lewis that she would be getting her wedding cake from Amorettes at Disney Springs (no surprise there then) so they challenged her to try out the pink and blue champagne with Mickey head toppers.

Four Parks In One Day
On last week's show, Michelle revealed her plan to visit four parks in one day and Len Testa gave her some tips to accomplish this. However, today, Michelle reveals the challenge she will actually try to do.

Lewis wants Michelle to take a ride on the newest form of Disney transportation and if it is up and running - watch out for a Facebook Live!

Lewis would also like Michelle to partake in some hotdog snackage so photos are expected from here!

As Michelle's intended is a big Star Wars fan they are being challenged to try out this attraction and report back.

Another challenge - take a flight on the tethered balloon and share the experience.

Disney Dream Girls 266 - Walt Disney World Touring Plans

Welcome to the show notes for the Disney Dream Girls Podcast, show number 266 for Sunday 23rd June 2019.  If you want to listen, whilst reading these notes, just click the player below or alternatively find us in iTunesLibsyn, on Stitcher Radio or via any good podcast catching app.

Coming up on this weeks show, Michelle is joined by Len Testa of Touring Plans to discuss how to tackle the four Walt Disney World theme parks in one day.
In Len's plan, Michelle would start her day at Disney Hollywood Studios. Once in the park, she would be able to enjoy 6 attractions (Slinky Dog Dash, Toy Story Midway Mania, Alien Swirling Saucers, Rock n Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror and Star Tours). According to his data, Michelle would be able to leave DHS by 10:36am and she should allow 45 minutes to travel onwards to EPCOT.

Once in EPCOT, Len suggests, Test Track, Soarin, Space Ship Earth and Frozen Ever After. These could be accomplished by 2.20pm and that is 11 attractions completed already!

Next park is Disney Animal Kingdom. He suggests Kilamanjaro Safari, Flight of Passage, Expedition Everest and Dinosaur.  Some of these are accomplished by single rider line, fastpass on the day, or waiting in standby. He estimates a departure time of 7.05pm.

Now for this journey to the Magic Kingdom, he recommends using a taxi/Lyft or Uber to the guard station at The Contemporary. This trick alone can save up to 70 minutes.

Once at the Magic Kingdom, he advises she should be able to ride; Big Thunder, Pirates, Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Seven Dwarves Mine Train, Space Mountain, Peter Pan's Flight, Buzz Lightyear and end with a sneaky People Mover ride.

That is a staggering 24 attractions in one day - when the average theme park guest usually only manages 10. There is a note to add - this was using Magic Kingdom extra magic hours til 1am.

Disney Dream Girls 265 for 16th June 2019

Welcome to the show notes for the Disney Dream Girls Podcast, show number 265 for Sunday 16th June 2019.  If you want to listen, whilst reading these notes, just click the player below or alternatively find us in iTunesLibsyn, on Stitcher Radio or via any good podcast catching app.

On this weeks show, Jayne talks candly about her health, we chat through some Disney news items and then we consider who could be the best Disney animation Dad.

What To Wear At Galaxy's Edge
Pictures say it all! Disney bounds are great but things that trail on the ground, cover your face or are exact replica's are not permitted.

Disney Dads
Below are some of our thoughts on the various Disney Dads and who we think deserves to be on our list.

Pongo in the 1961 101 Dalmations

Pongo is a fatherly dalmatian and he had a mission – to get his master a wife. In time, Roger (his human) marries and she co-incidently has also dalmation – named Perdita. Time passes and Perdita has several cute puppies. In comes Cruella Deville and the puppies go missing. Who leads the rescue? Pongo does!

Simba in the 1998 The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride

So Simba has grown up and has a daughter of his own (Kiara) and his role teaches her about the circle of life and their kingdom, just like his father did before him.

Lion King 1994 Mufasa
Simba was only such an amazing dad because he had an amazing dad. Whilst Mufasa was the mighty king of Pride Rock, and had a personal of do not mess with me, but he always had time for his son Simba. Plus who did not cry when Simba’s dad died?

1991 Version of the Beauty and The Beast

Maurice, is a devoted date. As a single parent he has brought up his daughter single handed and also always made sure there was food on the table. He did such a good job of raising her that she turned out amazingly. Whilst she takes his place as a prisoner, he just doesn’t sit around and do nothing… he sets out to rescue her.

Geppetto in the 1940 classic Pinocchio

He had a dream: to have a son. He is a lonely man – with only his cat Figaro and goldfish Cleo. A kind fairy listens to his desires and a wooden puppet, that he had carved, comes to life. Once a ‘real boy’ Pinocchio is tempted away. Heartbroken Geppetto drops everything and goes to search for him. On the way he is eaten and spends time in the stomach of a whale, Monstro.

Marlin in Finding Nemo (2003)

Film starts, with Pearl (Marlin’s wife) dying along with all but one of their fish eggs. This tragedy causes Marlin to become overprotective of his only son, Nemo. Despite being afaris of his own shadow, he sets out to search the entire ocean. Along the way, he learns a lot and definitely learns the message of to allow your child to grow up you have to ensure your child has the space to make their own mistakes.

Disney Dream Girls 263 for Sunday 2nd June 2019

Welcome to the show notes for the Disney Dream Girls Podcast, show number 263 for Sunday 2nd June 2019.  If you want to listen, whilst reading these notes, just click the player below or alternatively find us in iTunesLibsyn, on Stitcher Radio or via any good podcast catching app.

This week's show starts with a review of one or two items of Disney news and then we move on to the first part of Michelle's Disneyland Paris Trip Report.

Hotel
Michelle stayed at the Disney's Sequoia Lodge. The hotel was a ten minute walk away from the Disney Village, was set in beautiful landscaped gardens and was very comfortable. Mousekeeping was very attentive and we celebrated French Mothers Day whilst there!
Characters
Character meets in the parks are a lot of fun and you will get the chance to meet a whole host of them: sometimes in different outfits to other Disney parks. Phantom Mickey is proving to be a big fan favourite!
Attractions
There are a lot of attractions at Disneyland Paris that are unique and therefore we highly recommend you seek these out first! Our favourite is Crush's Coaster however, Space Mountain is unlike any other!
Fastpasses are obtained from machines throughout the park and give you a return time (with a window of 30 minutes). Do not arrive early for these but most cast members will accomodate you if you are slightly late for one.

Food
During Michelle's trip she did not eat at any table service restaurants. However, she did visit a few of the quick service places - sometimes just to photograph the menu but also to eat. It is very typical themepark fare and prices. There is Tex Mex and Italian offerings if you do not fancy burgers and prices range from around 12 Euros to 16 Euros for a meal.

Thai Chicken Salad from Earl of Sandwich
If you want value for money - we suggest eating out of the park or bringing your own food.  However, there are a few little gems such as Toad Hall, who have a great serving of steak chip for under 4 Euros.

It is also pleasing to see some 'Mickey' shaped foods coming into the parks and themed foods such as the cassette tape chocolate biscuit celebrating Guardians of the Galaxy.

Entertainment
Mickey and The Magician
DLP put on a great parade and a spectacular finale to the evening - Illuminations. Over in the studios, you will find Mickey and the Magician - this is fantastic! I can not find a single fault with these offerings. In fact, as Walt Disney World does not have a parade in the Magic Kingdom, is some respects makes Disneyland Park a winner! In addition, there are some fantastic cast members who make it their one goal in life to give you the best day ever.
Illuminations
Opinion
Has Disneyland Paris won a place in my heart - well... nearly! There have been obvious improvements in the two years since my last trip (reduction of smokers smoking throughout the parks is one). They are investing in the infrastructure with lots of rides being refurbished and we saw lots of general in-park maintenance happening. I still feel there are improvements to be made regarding food but it is getting there and if you are considering a trip I am sure you will love it!
We will have more - lots more - from DLP over the next few weeks and with Jayne planning a trip in the summer you will not want to miss a single show!
