Bayou Criters

The names (and a little of the attraction story plat) was revealed this week. 

What are your thoughts on the story line? Will we ever get an opening date for Disneyland? For me, I can not wait to see - first hand - this attraction.

Taking place on the 9th through 11th August in the Anaheim Convention Centre as well as the Honda Centre. Tickets went on sale on the 26th March (for some D23 members).

Enchanting Extra Collection 

This linked really well to what we were discussing last week about the additional activities you can do at your resorts. We discussed what this collection includes and then moved on to the current theme park tours being offered at Walt Disney World. 

Have you done a tour? Would you recommend it to others?

We then created a couple of tours of our own... time will tell if Disney will increase their offerings to give us fans more backstage insights.

On this day in Disney history:

• March 24th 1956 saw the opening of the Astro Jets at the Disneyland Resort - closing in 1966 and replaces with Astro Orbitor.
• March 24th 1972 The Country Bear Jamboree opened in Bear Country at Disneyland (WDW's version opened in October 1971).
• March 24th 1986, the Sword in the Stone became the 4th Walt Disney Classic to be released on video.

Getting value at your resort

For many of us, staying at a Disney resort is just to ensure we have a sprinkle of magic, not having to leave the bubble and to be closer to get to the parks each day. The festival begins on 28th February and runs until 27th May and we are happy to report there are some new, exciting food items on the menus as well as returning favourites.

Returning favourites of Michelle include the frushi at Hanami, the fried cinnamon roll bites and avocado toast at Brunchcot, the oranged sesame tempura shrimp at The Citrus Blossom and the bread pudding at Magnolia Terrace.
