Disney Dream Girls 068 - Four Dream Girls, One Disney Filled Show!

Hello and welcome to the show notes for the Disney Dream Girls Podcast for Sunday 25th October 2015.  To listen to the show, we can be subscribed to via iTunes, Stitcher Radio and any podcast catching places. In addition, you can listen direct using this direct player.

This show is filled with Disney! First, we are joined by Sarah (from Skywalking Through Neverland) to discuss Halloween in the parks and our friends at the Earvengers couldn't resist in contributing also!

Then, Sarah shares details about the Downtown Disney event she attended for the Force Awakens trailer preview.

Finally, our princess, Jeanie Gallo joins us to share a menu review from Jock Lindsey's Hangar bar. It is obvious that this will be the place to be at Disney Springs!

The food sounds amazing, the drinks are incredibly creative and very drinkable but what pulls it all together is the fabulous theming.

Jeanie tried three dishes and two different drinks during her visit. For full description, listen to the podcast but below are some of her pictures.
Tanis Tacos

The tacos are a devine Lost City Specialty!  Filled with falafel (traditionally made from chick peas and a great filling vegetarian option), shredded lettuce, and cucumber-tomato salad. For just under $10 they made for a great filling option to have alongside a cocktail.
Squid! Why'd it have to be squid!

The squid is calmari (tentacles not rings) served on a flatbread with a pepper harissa spread, Jeanie highly recommends this dish for its quality and quantity.
Air Pirate's Pretzels

For the sheer fun factor of how this arrives it is worth ordering! It flies to your table, via the fabulously fun staff, and it is a stack of delectable pretzels with perfectly matched dipping sauces.

Obviously, Jeanie wouldn't visit anywhere without sampling the drinks and she recommends the cool-headed monkey!

If you make a visit to Jocks, please let us know your thoughts! And until next week - see you soon!

Show 067 - Star Wars has Deserts We Have Desserts!

Hello and welcome to the show notes for the Disney Dream Girls Podcast for Sunday 18th October 2015.  To listen to the show, we can be subscribed to via iTunes, Stitcher Radio of any podcast catching places. In addition, you can listen direct using this direct player.

So on our latest show, we cover a few news events. Firstly, we begin with Marimoto opening at Disney Springs. It's spacious show kitchen and cool design surely makes an attractive place to eat. Then, to up level it even more, the menu looks really attractive. Yes, the prices are higher but I guess that is part and parcel of visiting a restaurant headed by a celebrity chef. Have you been? We would love to hear from you!

Next, excitement is building to the 18th December 2015 (UK release date) for the release of the Force awakens. A new trailer has been rumoured to be previewed on ESPN Monday night football. This will be the final trailer but also it will reveal the new logo for the franchise. When you see it, please post your thoughts!

Our next segment discusses the new Tortuga Tavern menu, which sees Texas toast making its debut at  the Magic Kingdom, along with beans and coleslaw.

Then we hop to Disneyland to announce old web man himself, Spiderman, will be making meet and greet appearances.

So, how else can we end a show? Desserts of course! Our friends at the Disney Parks Blogs released recipes to make their favourite top eight desserts from the USA parks. If you would like to have a go at making them, here is the link Disney Parks Blog Desserts. So we chat through them and offer a couple of others.

Finally, we answer a couple of our listeners questions.

We will be back next week, with more Dream Girl fun!
