On this week's show, we welcome Seth Kubersky as our guest.
Seth attended City Walk Orlando on its re-opening date (14th May 2020) and he joins us to describe what he saw. Then, he shares what information he has on the planned Disney Springs opening.
Throughout this blog, we use a range of photos that Seth took, which build upon the discussion we had on the show. All photo credits go to Seth Kubersky The Unofficial Guides.
Parking was free, and vehicles were parked at one vehicle spacings. Signs immediately reminded people of the expectations.
Staff all wore protective equipment; this altered depending on their role. Cleaning was quite visibly taking place.
For those without masks, kiosks had them for sale - as yet these are unthemed. Entry to City Walk depended on guests wearing a mask.
On his visit, Seth could not resist a trip to Voodoo Doughnuts. He was impressed by the measures taken by them to ensure social distancing.
Of course, there is always time for a quick survey!
To reach out to our guest, please find Seth on Twitter @skubersky and he frequently writes for Touringplans.com and theunofficialguides.com
If you are wanting to daydream about your happy place or use a guide to plan your trip, we highly recommend purchasing The Unofficial Guide books to Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, Disney Cruise Line amongst the many other places that they produce.
We will be back next week with some more Disney escapism.

314 Merchandise and Memories
Welcome

listen, whilst reading
these notes, just click the player below or alternatively find us on
iTunes, Libsyn, Stitcher Radio, or via any good podcast catching apps.
On this week's show, we give an update on our upcoming trips, how Michelle will celebrate her lockdown birthday and then we muse about merchandise and memories.
Merchandise
Star Wars Day saw Shop Disney fail its customers. Michelle managed to get the UK key, which was free of charge. However, the pins disappeared and there was not much else. Whereas the USA site had much more merchandise but you couldn't get on it! Their key was $12.95. Sadly, Michelle was unable to get the special Starbucks Star Wars mugs - currently, the site has them on backorder for July.
However, Michelle is over the moon to have finally ordered the Lego Disneyland Station station set - updates soon!
Disney Sentimental Items
Jayne shared the story of her Star Wars tattoo on her left shoulder. This is a symbol taken from Star Wars Rebels, representing the character Sabine Wren.
The tattoo marks the spot where Dave's hand was placed. This was done to connect with a memory from Star Wars Celebration in London in 2016. This memory links to when Jayne met Dave Filoni and below there is a great picture of them.
Michelle
Michelle shared the story of her Disney Pandora bracelet; she began collecting charms all the way back in 2006! She now has sufficient to fill a necklace and have some to spare. Each one of the charms on the necklace is linked to a memory.
Michelle has now completed a necklace and has a range of charms. From gifts from friends to the charm given to her in 2018 when her now-husband proposed to her in the hub at the Magic Kingdom using the attached Mickey and Minnie charm; she has a pretty impressive collection.
What collectibles spark memories with you? We would love to hear from you so please share yours.

these notes, just click the player below or alternatively find us on
iTunes, Libsyn, Stitcher Radio or via any good podcast catching apps.
On this week's show, we are delighted to have as our guest friend and longtime listener of the show - David Maruca.
David shares details about how he scheduled a trip to Walt Disney World where he actually ended up being in the parks on their last operating day. Below are some of the highlights of his trip.
Topolino's Terrace
Breakfast à la Art with Mickey and Friends
You can find this fixed price breakfast at the Riveria Resort and along with the breakfast and breathtaking views you can meet Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy duck - all dressed in outfits that you can only see at this resort.
The price is $42 for adults (plus tax and tip) and for that, you get a selection of pastries (served in an artist inspired palette) and a choice of entree. Plus a non-alcoholic beverage of your choice.
David felt this breakfast to be a must-do! He loved the theming of the hotel, the good was delicious and the character interaction was fantastic.
Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party
This upcharge event usually needs booking in advance and costs $99 per adult. It offers an array of desserts, cheeses, beer, and wine as well as a fantastic viewing area for Happily Ever After.
For David, he loved the view and to see Tinker Bell flying over his head was worth the price alone!
Galaxy's Edge
The newest land that opened on 29th August 2019 in Walt Disney World. Since then, phase 2 saw the opening of the Rise of the Resistance attraction.
David had previously seen the land on an annual passholder event but that was before this second attraction had opened. He said the attraction was amazing and worth the early start.
On this show, David also explains about the other attractions that he managed to squeeze in.
That
is about it for this week. Don't forget our Facebook page by searching Disney Dream Girls and you can also find us on Twitter and Instagram under @DisDreamGirls

On this week's show, we welcome our good friend and fellow podcasters - Tommy Allison and we set him the challenge of creating his own bespoke Disney theme park. So below, you will find his ten attractions.
1. Starting out his must include - The Original People Mover with the Tahitian Terrace resurrected with delicious Polynesian foods.
2. Next, another attraction from the past of Disneyland would be an updated version of Circle-Vision 360 featuring the history of Disneyland.
3. To a wonderful new take on a classic dark ride, he would like to add the Beauty and the Beast attraction that is currently being built in Tokyo Disneyland. On to this, he will add an upscale dining establishment. To see a sneak peek - click here to the Disney Parks Wesbite.
4. Next, he gets creative by adding an amalgamation of the existing Snow White dark ride with the Seven Dwarves Mine Train that is over in the Magic Kingdom. This new attraction would have a dining experience in the mining element of the ride.
5. His next take is from Hong Kong Disneyland, where he would bring across the trackless ride - Mystic Manor.
6. Another attraction from the past he would like to bring back is the Skyway and theme this with a snack style treat box.
7. For a thrill ride, he would like to add the Tron attraction that exists in Shanghai Disneyland and is being built in the Magic Kingdom.
8. Finally, Tommy has decided to add a boat ride and for this, he will steal Sinbad's Storybook from Tokyo DisneySea.
9. Another Tokyo attraction he would bring to his park is the Star Jets and these would have a themed ice-cream parlor.
10. His final attraction would be the Pirates of the Caribbean but with additional elements, perhaps an even real-life mermaid lagoon.
So that is Tommy's Ten for Disneyland. What would you ten look like?
