Disney Dream Girls 268 - Wild West Disneyland

Welcome to the show notes for the Disney Dream Girls Podcast, show number 268 for Sunday 7th July 2019.  If you want to listen, whilst reading these notes, just click the player below or alternatively find us in iTunesLibsyn, on Stitcher Radio or via any good podcast catching app.

On this weeks show, Michelle and Jayne chat through some Disney theme park news before Michelle shares her thoughts on an experience she was able to partake in over at Disneyland Paris.

Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show With Mickey and Friends
In the Disney Village you will find this very popular dinner show. It is hosted by Buffalo Bill with guests Chief Sitting Bull, Annie Oakley and the Rough Riders but you can also expect Mickey Mouse and friends to join in. Below I give brief details of the show and my thoughts but you can hear fuller details on the podcast (using the link above or your usual podcast listening place).
The ticket price depends on where you wish to sit. There are two categories: category 1 costs 78 euros and category 2 is 63 euros (there is a lower price for children). For this price, you get a meal (consisting of nachos, cornbread, cattleman's chilli, a chicken drumstick, ribs, sausage and potatoes as well as an apple crumble style dessert with vanilla ice-cream), an evening of wild west entertainment and a souvenir straw hat.

What Did I Enjoy?
Firstly, there was a really cute pre-show, something I did not know about before attending. A band played in the bar area, Mickey mingled amongst the guests and Goofy joined the musical trio on the stage.
The food was served hot and was tasty. Admittedly, the food was not the highlight - it purely could be rated as edible. Would I visit to eat the food again? No but at events of this size, it was a big accomplishment to have it served hot.

The entertainment was amazing. There was a range of amazing stunts and skills on show as well as some slapstick comedy. Audience participation is expected and guests are also chosen to participate on the arena floor.
What Did I Not Enjoy?
I found eating and watching a show really difficult and I would have preferred to have the meal prior to the show or even no food served at all.  The cost, in my opinion, is quite steep. If you have the Disneyland Dining Plan, then at some tiers, you can exchange a dining voucher for tickets. If you are a family of four and paying out of pocket - that is a big ticket price.

Summary
I'm afraid for this, I am a one and done. I am very grateful for the ticket I had given and I enjoyed it but without that ticket, I would not have paid to see it. If you enjoy western style entertainment - then this is something that you may wish to consider doing.
