Where will they stay?

Kat and Lewis have made reservations at Pop Century due to its price, facilities and closeness to the Skyliner.

What will they do?

They have made a few dining reservations at places like The Boathouse, a Fantasmic Dining Package (at the Hollywood Brown Derby), Oga's Cantina and booked places on the Up Close with Rhinos tour.

What is after WDW?

Then they hop on to the Disney Wish for a back-to-back cruise. Their itinerary sees them visiting Nassau and Castaway Cay

Where are you staying?

Anthony is doing a split stay. Two nights at Pop Century and the remaining will be in a two-bedroomed suite at Animal Kingdom Lodge. 

What are you looking forwards to the most?

The first reservation Anthony made was for the Candlelight Processional dining package because the narrator will be Josh Gad. He is incredibly excited about this as he would have eaten at La Creperie anyways so to get a guaranteed seat makes it a winner!

Anthony promises to come back and tell us more about his trip in December so stay tuned!

On This Day In Disney History

Goldie Jeanne Hawn was born on 21st November 1945. Winner of an Oscar for Best Supporting Role in 1969 for role in the film Cactus Flower. She also received a nomination for her role in the 1980's filme - Private Benjamin - Best Actress in a leading role. 

What is your favourite role that this actress has played and why?

Moving to 1963, Walt and a team of executives land at Herndon Airport (now Orlando Executive Airport) to search for the ideal location for the 'East Coast Disneyland'.

On 24th November 1995, The Disney MGM Studios Spectacle of Lights Featuring Osborne Family Holiday Lights debuted. Sadly, the lights were packed away and so far never to be re-lit since 6th January 2016.

On this week's show, we look at how to follow a vegan diet whilst in Disneyland Paris. So below are just a few of the many items that are offered.

Snack - Cable Car Bake Shop - 3.50 Euros

Vegan cookie

Snack - Gibson Girl - 3 Scoops 5 Euros

Quick Service - Au Chalet de la Marionette - 16 Euros

Offers a plant based burger - with the usual sides - mini Magnum or yoghurt. 

Quick Service - Toad Hall - 12 Euros

Battered soya and chips

Silver Spur Steakhouse - 32-42 Euros

Even here there is a vegan option. Yes it may not represent value but you can get an avocado salad, vegetable skewer with potatoes, followed by red berries, silken tofu, cashew nuts and popcorn.

Augberge De Cendrillon - 75 Euros

A high-end eatery but again has a vegan option for each course. 

As you can see, being vegan at DLP is possible! And don't forget there is the Disney Village eateries also!

Romance in DLP

Depend on your personality... for some a creepy walk to the dungeons to see La Taniere du Dragon is enough to get the heart racing or a delicious meal with a few drinks. We discuss a few options on the podcast - what do you think?

Christmas in DLP

For me, Christmas is best experienced in the Sequoia Lodge with its rustic feel and warming fires. Christmas, as a Brit is always cold and chilly - possibly with a touch of snow and this is something that will be replicated in DLP. 

Their Christmas time runs from November 12th to the 8th January. So plenty of time to catch all there is to offer. There is Mickey's Dazzling Christmas Parade, Christmas Trees and decorations, Let's Sing Christmas and up to 25th December - Santa!

389 The Pre-Christmas Disney Podcast

As usual, we start the show with on this day in Disney history and then chat our way through a range of Disney topics.

More tours and are coming to the parks in 2022! Amongst these are Keys to the Kingdom, Caring for Giants, Wild Africa Trek, Up Close with Rhinos and Savor the Savanna. We share a some memories from our past tours and suggest why they can enhance your trip. 

Currently, there are no tours being offered at the Disneyland Resort. 

Disneyland Paris is facing a rocky road ahead as France tightens restrictions on visitors. We wonder how this will impact on park operations and their festive offerings as well as whether this may see another park closure. 

Over in Disneyland, it was announced that you can rent out Mickey's house in Toon Town. The attraction is closing in March 2022 so perhaps this is a fund raising opportunity for Disney to fund things! So for $350 ten attendees can enjoy this location for 90 minutes whilst leaving the arrangements to Disney. 

You will receive a group picture with Mickey Mouse (along with photopass downloads), cupcakes to decorate, chance to join in with crafts and games and then have quick entry to Gadget's Go Coaster at the end. 

So this leaves us asking, if you could rent out a similar small space in the parks - where would it be?
