Disney Cruise Line Covid Testing Changes

After 7th June 2022, guests must provide proof of a negative COVID 19 test result but now this must be paid for by the guest. This can be uploaded no more than two days prior to embarkation to avoid port testing. For guests not able to, or wish to, they may test at the port for a cost of $74 plus tax. For cruises departing in Canada this cost will be $95 Canadian.

Cosmic Rewind

Opening 27th May 2022 but guests at a Disney Deluxe Resort, Deluxe Villa Resort or other select hotels can book into a virtual queue to ride this attraction.

Boo Bash Review

Our reviewer arrived at 7pm -  as per the ticket allows - which was two hours ahead of the scheduled start time. Despite thinking the event was sold out, tickets were sold at the gate. However, this did not mean longer queues. To be fair the longest we waited for an attraction was 20 minutes. As always, there were the usual treat stations for trick and treat candies plus allergy friendly offerings (collectable from one location next to the Hall of Presidents). 

Our early arrival meant a nice bonus of seeing Happily Ever After, before it is replaced by Disney Enchantment on 1st October. This was shown at 9pm and day guests had to leave. Around us staff were setting everything up for the parties official opening at 9.30pm.

Taking of Castle entertainment, there was no Hocus Pocus show on the Castle Forecourt. But we did manage to catch the Cadever Dans and catch a few tunes at the Tomorrowland disco. 

There were six treats available but there were no restaurants for a meal open. But we could get ice-creams and bottled drinks from the snack stations around the park and pre-boxed popcorn.

The biggest disappointment was no unique merchandise but there was lots of other things to buy - some lines disappeared. As we are Sanderson Sister fans we splurged on the trio of sister plush - costing $90 in total.

We saw all the character cavalcades and was lovely to hear the usual parade music.  

Was it value for the ticket price paid? It was $129 plus tax but this does rise up to $199 on Halloween. If you haven't park entry fort the day, the ticket makes better sense but as we have annual passes that didn't apply.

Disey Dream Girls 178 - EPCOT and Magic Kingdom

Coming up on this weeks show, Michelle talks through the days she spent at EPCOT and then the Magic Kingdom.

EPCOT holds a special place in my heart as I love the iconic structure of Space Ship Earth and also the nighttime spectacular of Illuminations. Food and Wine began at the end of August and I will be talking about that in a further show.

 Biggest surprise at EPCOT was the riddiculous waits at Journey in to Imagination - 45 minutes!

During the trip, the first week had glorious weather, however week two was definately wetter! As you can see from the Magic Kingdom picture below. The t-shirt was a purchase from Uniqlo... I bought three in total whilst shopping at Disney Springs. The quality is very good and I liked the quirky designs. 

The park begun its Halloween makeover whilst I was there and I just adore the pumpkins. My top tip is visit later in the day to get a great Mickey floral picture! Also on this trip, I discovered a pathway round the back of Big Thunder and was able to get some great pictures. Just goes to show you can always find something new! 

Whilst this was a busy trip, I made sure I found sometime to relax and enjoy the pool at the Wilderness Lodge.

Disneyland Paris Trip Review

My Shortened Trip Review!

Food
Disneyland Paris has some hidden gems that you really have to try. On this trip, I ate at Chez Remy. In my opinion this is a great place for a delicious steak meal: served with the house speciality - ratatouille. However, due to a fire alarm, I was unable to eat my whole meal, however I will be back in 2017 to eat there again!
 

Complementary Cocktail for Annual Pass Holders

For counter service, I really was surprised by the food within Videopolis at Cafe Hyperion. It is themed to Star Wars and the burger quality was really good (total surprise) and the cupcake was a delicious chocolate rich treat.

Character Meets
Disneyland Paris is a great place to meet characters. During my trip I met a range of characters. As it was a few days prior to Halloween, there were a lot of villains to meet and I was impressed that I didn't need to buy an dining package or special event ticket either.

General Information 
The park does get some incredible theming upgrades for the different seasons. My favourite was this thorny dragon: Maleficient had her meet and greet by this.

Whilst this trip was definately memorable, it was not without its issues. Having a knee injury, I had to use a wheelchair but on the whole, I found the park to be wheelchair friendly.
